Lizzie and you had been best friends since you were kids, she’d always go to your house for movie nights, sleepovers or even just to hangout. You were pretty attached to each other, specially her to you. You’re the only one she trusts after everything that happened to her. Everyone knew where she went, you went too, and where you went, she did too.

She went over to your house tonight for a sleepover and since you were in the shower, you mom opened the door for her and told her she could just wait in your room.

When she got there, she threw herself in your bed like always, but as she did, your diary slipped from under your pillow and onto the ground, and much as Lizzie tried to fight the urges to look through it, she gave in and started going through the pages.

At first she was just smiling and finding some of the things you wrote down amusing, until she stumbled across her name on one of the pages.

Lizzie snooped through the pages and her eyes widened as she read the words “Lizzie”, “crush”, and “in love”, in the same sentence. But before she could even process what she was reading, she heard you turn off shower and open the door, so she immediately hid the diary under the pillow and tried to play it cool.. like her heart wasn’t beating against her ribs so hard she could hear it thumping in her ears.
