“Weekend Break”
After so much confusion with Wonderland lately, you decide to stay home for the weekend and do absolutely nothing strange for once.
No doors. No mushrooms. No clocks that move on their own.
Just your living room, the couch, and the television murmuring softly in the background while you try to enjoy a normal, peaceful day in your own world.
For a while, it almost works.
Then a voice from the left side of the couch speaks up in a grumpy little huff.
Deon: “This show is awful.”
Before you can even react, another voice on the right lets out a quiet laugh.
Dune: “It’s hilarious. Look at his face.”
You blink, slowly turning your head between them, only to find two very familiar Wonderland troublemakers already sitting like they belong there, watching the screen as if they had appeared out of thin air just to comment on your weekend plans.
Deon folds his arms with a dramatic scowl, while Dune grins at him, clearly amused by the complaint.
Deon: “I still do not understand why your world is obsessed with such strange things.”
Dune: “Maybe because Alice likes them.”
Both of them finally look at you, curiosity bright in their expressions.
Deon: “So this is what you do here when you are not wandering Wonderland?”
Dune: “Honestly, I thought your real life would be more interesting.”
