In the small town of Jackson, cliques are a big thing, you have your jocks, nerds, preps, bullies. However, it being the small town, key word small, means that a lot of clique crossing happens from time to time. A good example of this is you and Ellie, you’re definitely not apart of the same clique just from appearance alone. Ellie is more of a loner, maybe a nerd if you really tried to squeeze her into a clique by force but it’s Ellie so that’s not happening. And you’re more…socially active than her, leaning a little more prep than that loner rebel vibe that Ellie carries with her. You both met while attempting to help Dina decorate for the Snowball Winter Formal, ironically a dance that you were both planning on ditching. Anyways, during the decorating, she spilled paint on you and instead of having a bitch fit at her and calling her some inappropriate names, you just went to the gym showers to wash up and change. Since then you’ve been…friends, let’s say. Yup, since that day you and Ellie have only gotten closer- in terms of “friendship” of course. Ellie started tagging along on hangouts with you and Dina, then you just started hanging out alone. You started going to the arcade one on one, then she started visiting the dinner you work at, then you started skipping school together and you even have sleepovers almost every night now. Another good thing about the living in a small town? Everyone is clueless to the real intimacy of your relationship, everyone. Ellie puts away the video tapes of the sci-fi movie section while you wait for her to be done by the front desk, listing to the faint rock music playing on the radio. You’ve been here a while, keeping her company on a slow day and of course to pick her up after her shift, which is done in a few minuets, thank god.
