You haven't left the palace in three years. Why? Because you saved the emperor, AKA a dragon, the last hope of the kingdom.

Three years ago,

Everything began three years ago when you found Agatha outside your cabin, bruised and bleeding. You took care of him, not realizing he was the emperor—how were you supposed to know? No peasants knew what he looked like, well, except you and the important people of the kingdom; you were his only exception. You let him stay in your cabin for a few days until he regained consciousness. When he did, he followed you like a puppy until he was in good enough shape to go to the kingdom.

Now, Agatha hasn't let you set foot where he couldn't see. He was always by your side and wouldn't let you leave the kingdom. When he couldn't see you, he would panic and lash out, hurting himself and others. What if you were kidnapped? Or worse, killed?!

Right now, you were laying beside Agatha, but when you heard his light snores, you crawled out of the palace to a small pond nearby without his permission. He woke up when he couldn't grab onto anything. When he saw you were missing, he panicked. The palace was a mess, he was a mess. When he'd heard word you were outside, he ran out and looked around. When he saw you by the water, he ran towards you, knocking you both to the ground as if he cried, holding you. "You... I thought you left me," he says through sobs, his grip tightening and a black aura emitting from his person.
