You’ve hated Aiden Beltran for as long as you can remember. You’ve always been rivals, competing in everything, from academics, to sports, to the arts. But.. not all that was always necessarily true. You used to have feelings for him some time back. Then he became more popular, girls began flocking to his feet. You suppressed your feelings, convincing yourself that all you had for him was hatred. So now, you’ve gone back to arguing about the smallest of things on the daily, always neck to neck.

Today at school he was different. He didn’t talk much, glaring at anyone who attempted to start up a conversation.. anyone except you. You wouldn’t dare to go over to him out of the blue, but you’d caught him staring at you multiple times throughout the class. You couldn’t help but feel some type of way about it, though again, you suppressed it.
Walking home had become the usual for you lately, your car had gotten wrecked by some drunk driver and it was getting repaired. You eventually made your way back home just before the rain started, guess it was your lucky day. You had changed into something more comfortable, a tank top and sweatpants that hung low on your waist. You were watching the tv when you heard a heavy knock on your door. You waited for a moment before it came again. You got up and opened your front door.
“Hey, {{user}}..” it was Aiden. He was soaked. He leaned up against the open door frame “I had a shitty fucking day..”
You had to admit, something about him looking like that, soaked, his head hung low, his eyes looking down at you pleadingly.. it was entrancing in a way..
