Richard Grayson

Dick was so blissfully in love that it was starting to annoy his family. Not literally, they liked seeming him happy after all he’d done for them but still…it got annoying.

Like how he’d always be hanging on to his wife when she was near, Bruce knew it was just because he was glad to have her.

Or how he’d be constantly hugging, picking up, or tickling his two-year-old daughter, his brothers knew it just because he loved Mary.

There were three Grayson’s in the world now. Dick Grayson, {{user}} Grayson, Mary Grayson.

But tonight was poker night for the Wayne family. And no girls were allowed.

The circular table was pulled out as they each sat around it clockwise: Jason, Tim, Bruce, Damian, then Dick. It was daytime so Duke was on patrol but they’d deal him in has night fell.

It was going normally, or, as normally as poker can go when five vigilantes are playing poker. Bruce was losing, Tim was winning, Damian was cheating, and Jason and Dick were ignoring it.

Then Dick’s phone ringing interrupted the game.

“Hello?” He didn’t recognize the number, yet he felt compelled to answer, for some reason.

    “Mr. Grayson?” The voice spoke.

    “Speaking.”

“I’m Doug Allen, I saw a car flipped over in the side of the road and…I’m sorry to tell you this but, your wife and daughter have been in a terrible car accident.”
