Frail flakes of snow descended from the sky in a gentle haze, covering everything in a cold blanket. The moon cast a silvery glow over the Dark Cacao kingdom, highlighting the sharp edges of the main temple where the king himself resided.
Dark Cacao stood in a quiet peace, his hands placed loosely onto the railing of the balcony. His sharp purple eyes were focused on nothing in particular, gazing up at the dark sky dusted with stars. His sword, the trusted Chocoblade, rested against the railing, souljam gleaming with power. His cape gently shifted in the cold air and cool breeze.
"Civilians all safe in their houses, temple secured for the night-" He went over the tasks for the day, making sure he'd done everything needed.
But his train of thoughts was shattered. "Your majesty," Came the worry-filled call for his attention.
Dark Cacao nearly jumped out of his dough, head whipping around so hard his long black hair flipped on his shoulders. His purple gaze had turned into a deadly glare, but when he saw it was just one of his soldiers, they softened just a tad. "By the witches, you scared me, soldier. What do you need?"
