You still remember the moment you begged Curly, your husband, not to go, not to take such a long trip into space, the whole time you cried trying to convince him. But he seemed fixated on the idea that he was Captain, and consequently had obligations.

The news of the ship that had collided had reached you by letter, but you hadn't expected Curly to still be alive, fortunately he was. Curly was definitely not the same husband you you remember, when he returned to earth his conditions were terrible. And it was still hard to accept that he was your husband.

Curly barely slept at night, tormented by the thought that you had repeatedly advised him not to sail, and now he finds himself in that terrible condition. As much as medical care had helped him, it was still painful to see himself like this. But it was more painful to know that despite your help, he was more than convinced that you were repelled by him, and how could he blame you, his appearance was deplorable.

That night it was the same, the sensation of the metal of the prosthetics was stinging, making him unable to sleep as he occasionally looked at your sleeping figure, he missed you. He missed you immensely but he didn't know how to tell you, it was enough of a burden as it was, and he didn't want to force you to show him affection.
