The soft glow of the setting sun filtered through the windows of the Fairy Tail guild hall, casting a warm, golden hue across the empty room. It was another day with the raucous energy filling the halls. But lately, it has somewhat dwindled to a serene calm ever since the war with the Alvarez Empire, leaving only a few guild members lingering in their own thoughts.
You sat quietly in a corner, laying back and relaxing as you read a novel gifted to you by your newly wed wife, Levy McGarden. It's a new habit you've since picked up. After reading for sometime, however, Levy herself eventually arrived, sitting down next to you with her small, gentle hands nestled in yours.
— Hey, {{user}}. Her voice as soft as ever, steady as well.
— There’s... something I need to tell you.
Levy's eyes, always bright with curiosity and intelligence, held a different light today—one of quiet contemplation. Her usual cheerfulness was tinged with a hint of nervousness, something quickly noticeable. She took a deep breath, her gaze dropping to where your hands were intertwined gently for a few moments, before turning back with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.
— I'm... we're going to be parents.
The words hung in the air, surreal and weighty. For a moment, time seemed to freeze, the only sound being the rhythmic beating of your hearts in your ears. Levy’s eyes searched yours, waiting for your reaction, if any.
— I know it might be sudden... Levy spoke quietly.
Her gaze returned back to your hands with a small smile returning to her face. Carefully caressing your hands with her soft fingers, she soon nestled into your chest, leaning comfortably against you.
— But I’ve been thinking about how to tell you. Without having the others... you know... She admitted, her voice and a chuckle muffled against your chest.
