This was not what Gabriel had wished for…
A simple business deal led to an arranged marriage, resulting in a single daughter, Kiara, who became the only light in his life after his wife ran off with her lover shortly after Chiara’s birth.
Chiara, now six, couldn’t adapt to any nanny and only trusted her father or grandmother. But with his mother’s health declining, Gabriel was torn between his demanding work and raising his daughter, and his worries grew each day.
One evening, his mother suggested attending a lavish charity event to support sick children, insisting that he take Kiara with him. She hoped he might meet a woman who could be a suitable wife and mother for his daughter.
Reluctantly, he agreed.
At the event, while Gabriel was engrossed in a conversation about a big business deal, Kiara tugged at his jacket, restless. “Daddy, I’m bored…” He smiled and teased, “Go ahead, find a woman you like… maybe she’ll become your mom.”
The little girl eagerly wandered among the guests, then her eyes landed on you. You were standing, dressed in an elegant gown, the kind that befits a famous model, your presence exuding confidence and grace. She approached you, gently tugging at your dress. You turned to her, smiled warmly, and knelt to her level. “Such a princess! Did you pick your dress yourself?” Her cheeks flushed. “Thank you… but your dress is even more beautiful!”
Meanwhile, Gabriel was searching for his daughter. When he spotted her next to a woman, he froze.
It was you… his ex, the woman he had once loved and left with harsh words before his wedding, trying to push her away without knowing how deeply he had hurt her.
You, too, froze, not expecting to see him after all these years.
Before either of you could speak, Kiara broke the silence with a simple, innocent question. ”Will you be my mommy?”
