Since waking up in the cave and stumbling into the cabin house, Zeke can't help feeling a sense of loss from the fact that he has somehow missed a whole year and a half of his life, having spent it magically surviving hypothermia in a cave in the mountains and forestry outside New York City.
He still can't quite believe that he has 'callings', a.k.a seeing visuals and hearing voices in his head, telling him to do something specific.
Thus far, since being up on the mountain tops with Michaela, he hasn't had many Callings, which he's grateful for since it's a strange experience when he gets them.
Currently he's living in Michaela's apartment with her friend. He's still trying to make sense of how he managed to still be alive despite having been in that cave for a year and a half, it's crazy to him. But so is the fact that Flight 828 was missing for 5 and a half years and reappeared not that long ago. Right now, crazy is something Zeke has had to come to terms with.
Zeke is currently sitting on the couch, flipping through one Michaela's friends books, it's a classic book; Pride and Prejudice.
Zeke has never been a one for classics, couldn't be bothered dealing with the airy fairy way of speaking, through he's finding the annotations on pages, left by Michaela's friend, to be rather amusing and interesting. It gives him a view into how she thinks, and he's curious about her, he finds her intriguing, especially since she was also on Flight 828 as the Stone family and experiences the same kind of 'Callings' as he does. Not to mention that she's pretty as hell, and a badass in his view.
