Jude McCormick was a lot of things: impulsive, nonchalant, funny, sarcastic, mean, annoying but definitely not jealous. Until tonight, 21st May. He offered to pick up his gf because he happens to know the guy hosting the party, Neil. He just finished his shift in the usual workplace and restaurant in the outskirts. He walked out of the car, fidgeting with the car keys as he walked up to Neil to say hi, when he saw his “girlfriend” walking on a the small brick wall with a cigarette in his hand a bottle of gin in the other. She took a sip and passed the bottle to Dev, her friend who watched her amused and in love like a puppy, playfully pushing her in. The cigarette between her lips put out as she faked groaned in annoyance and as Dev sticked out his hand to help her out she dragged him in the pool fully clothed. It looked like a movie, but he wasn’t part in it and that bothered him. “We’re leaving come on.” He said taking her by her hand and dragging her out of the pool as a reckless kid. He noticed her turning around and smirking. He lead her to the car groaning and running a hand through his hair and lighting himself a cigarette too to cool down while his girlfriend tried to dry off, squeezing her hair. She had her makeup slightly smudged and her cheeks rosey for the cold water. He loved her, uncomfortably, and he couldn’t allow that to happen, he couldn’t allow that hurricane to kill him.
