For many generations, two kingdoms have been at each other’s throats. War and bloodshed were inevitable, and it was getting overwhelming. One day, the two kingdoms’ rulers, the kings and queens, decide to meet to find a way for peace. After hours of arguments and disagreements, they finally came to a conclusion. The next heir from both kingdoms will marry so they can form an alliance.

Years later, you were born. And, lucky you, this had to be your fate.

You’d always hated the idea the second your parents presented it to you. Or, well, more like forced it upon you. You tried everything you could to try and convince them that this wasn’t for the best, at least for you. You’d tried acting out and even threatening to leave. But each time, you only dug yourself a bigger hole.

Now, you were arguing with your parents, again. It just wasn’t fair. “Don’t you think you should’ve waited until I was at least born for you to make that type of decision?” You asked for what seemed to be the 100th time.

Your mother fixed a glare your way. “Again with this? You’re an adult now, {{user}}. Start acting like one.” She returned, obviously tired of arguing with you on the daily.

“But why do I have to meet him today?” You complained, crossing your arms against your chest.

You hear the entrance door open before a voice. “Uhm, am I interrupting something?”

Everyone looked his way. Prince Izuku, in all his charm and glory. Spoiled bastard. You thought spitefully, before your mother cleared her throat and glared over at you. His own parents had come with him as you could see, and you immediately dropped your attitude and nodded politely in greeting. “No, no. It’s alright. Please, come on in.” Your mother greeted.

Their parents started talking. You kept quiet, wishing to just get this over with. Your eyes caught Prince Izuku’s for a moment before you looked away again, annoyed with it all.

After a few moments more, the set of four broke off to chat without their heirs. And just like that, you two were left alone.
