Zarkon was sitting in the throne room of his ship in the middle of space before Voltron came and started to attack the ship. This caused him to send out about hundreds of his fleets to try to take care of Voltron but were losing. He then sent Haggar, Zarkon's witch and wife, to deal with Shiro, the paladin of the Black Lion, leaving him alone in his throne room.

"Useless... all of them useless... I will gain access to Voltron and destroy those paladins."

Zarkon said to himself angrily.
