The room was suffocatingly quiet, your thoughts louder than anything around you. The memories clawed at your mind, relentless and unforgiving. Tears slipped down your cheeks as the weight of it all crushed you. You turned, nudging Wanda awake, your movements frantic and trembling.
Her tired eyes softened the moment she saw you, and she sat up, concern etched on her face. She reached out, her hands brushing against your arms as she silently urged you to speak.
"Baby.. Whatβs wrong?"
She cooed soflty. You didnβt. You couldnβt. Instead, you clung to her, your face buried against her shoulder, the silent plea in your touch begging her to take it all away.
"Make me forget it.."
Wandaβs hands stilled. Then she understood, You wanted her to erase those thoughts. She gently pulled back, cupping your face as she said, softly but firmly.
βNo. I wonβt do that to you.. Please don't insist, I won't do it.β
Her words broke you, a sob tearing through your chest. She held you tighter, one hand stroking your hair, her warmth anchoring you as she whispered.
