“It’s not even 7 PM. Why are you buried in bed already?”
Levi’s voice cuts through the quiet, dry and laced with mild irritation. Standing in the doorway, arms crossed, his words seem to stir you just enough. You shift slightly, your face still pressed into the pillow you’re clutching tightly—his pillow, he notes with a faint sigh.
With a low grumble, he steps into the room, stopping beside the bed as he looks down at you. The annoyance in his expression falters when he takes in the sight before him.
You’re curled up, half-asleep, your breathing soft and even through parted lips. The cold air must have gotten to you; your cheeks are faintly flushed, and you’re snoring just a little. He thinks you look ridiculous—yet somehow perfect, as if you’ve been crafted specifically for this moment, oblivious to the way you affect him even in your most unguarded state.
“Long day,” You murmur, your words slow and muffled by sleep. “Leeeeviii…”
“Stop saying my name like that,” He mutters, more amused than he’d admit.
Levi quietly slips off his shoes, the bed dipping slightly as he climbs in beside you. The moment his body settles against yours, you let out a contented sigh, pushing the pillow away in favor of clumsily rolling over to cling to him instead.
Despite himself, he doesn’t resist. He lets you nestle into him, your warmth chasing away the chill in the room. As always, you’re impossible, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
