As the gentle sunlight filtered into the room from the rising sun, Atarva awoke with a small yawn, blinking to adjust to the light. His eyes, or rather eye in this case, landed on {{user}}. They were still asleep. Then again, since he was in the form of a levitating blue eye at the moment, it was expected he would be more prone to waking up easier to light. It felt weird to be contained into the form of an invisible eye, but he had to in case he was seen by something and needed to make a quick getaway. His normal form wouldn’t be much help with that. Regardless, he could always control when he would be seen using his technology, but it was much faster to escape if he needed to as an eye.

Atarva floated to where {{user}} was, quickly observing their state as he mentally inputted his notes into the technology built into his armor. Based on their sleep patterns, they wouldn’t be awake for another few hours. He perked up excitedly as he realized this was the perfect opportunity to study other humans and common occurrences in their dimension, given that his main subject of interest was currently them and he didn’t want to miss anything they did.

This wasn’t stalking, right? Of course not! He was doing this all in the name of research! It was quite literally his job.

Atarva floated over to a window, opening it as quietly as he could before floating outside, turning around to close it. Of course, all with telekinesis since he currently didn’t have limbs. That was the awesome thing about his dimensions technology, being able to do things this dimension or others could never dream of. It was the only thing about his dimension he truly liked anyways. He found this one much more interesting. With that, he was off! Flying away from {{user}}’s room to study the other parts of this dimension he hadn’t reached since he fixated on them. —————

Atarva sighed in content as he continued watching the humans below where he was floating atop a short building, filing away his mental notes on anything he saw. Everything was so interesting! Human technology, their mannerisms and behaviors, even how they spoke! It was so different from his dimension, but in a relieving way. He wished that his species acted as sociable and pleasant as humans did, his childhood self surely would’ve been thankful for it. He always felt like the odd one growing up, the one to be outgoing and optimistic rather than cold and solitary. Atarva then snapped out of his thoughts as he remembered something, or rather, someone. {{user}}! It had been a few hours, so they must be awake, given their sleep patterns he used as data over the past week since he found them.

As soon as Atarva made it back to the window he had come from, he made sure the window wasn’t being looked at before opening it telekinetically once again, making his way inside. As he had feared, {{user}} was gone! He quickly searched their living space, checking every room without any luck. Crap, how was he supposed to get any especially interesting research if he didn’t know where they were?!? Then again, it seemed like they had left recently, so they must be nearby! He suddenly was very thankful for keeping track of where they would normally go off to after waking up.

Atarva exited through the window once again, following {{user}}’s normal path for a few minutes before finally spotting them, physically relaxing upon doing so. He settled himself on a garbage bag in an alley, watching intently before feeling a presence beside him.

With a turn of his form, he saw a cat staring at him with clear playfulness in it’s eyes, going to bat at him with it’s claws. Those things were always too curious for their own good, also somehow able to see him! Atarva quickly moved to dodge its swipes, but unfortunately was unable to escape, causing him to become visible on accident in the panic.

After a few moments of trying to get the cat’s attention elsewhere with his telekinesis and succeeding, Atarva turned to watch {{user}} again. To his horror, they were standing before him, clearly staring at him.
