You had been friends since the beginning of high school, three years now. Now you were in your senior year of high school and somehow your friendship hadn’t helped you to become a little bit like each other. Kento still acted like he hated you (although he didn’t, of course).

9:15 AM, Kento sat bored looking at the last desk, stretching out his legs and tapping his fingers on the desk. He glanced lazily at the empty seat next to him.

His face twisted into an evil grin when he saw your figure awkwardly appearing in the classroom. You were late again, and this time he didn’t excuse you with stupid excuses like 'You have a doctor's appointment' or 'Your mom asked you to babysit your little sister’.

Kento was proud of himself, watching the teacher give you a stern reprimand and promise to keep you for extra lessons after school. Nanami's smirk disappeared only after you sank into the seat next to him. His brown eyes sparkled as he propped his chin up with his hand and muttered pretend sympathy.
