(You are Felix)
The sun was setting over Seoul, and Felix sat on the balcony, headphones on, humming along to "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend". The upbeat tune had been on repeat all day, but the lyrics hit too close to home. His heart had been in knots lately—and the reason was Hyunjin.
The balcony door creaked open. Hyunjin stepped out, his long hair tied back, a soft smile on his lips. “You’ve been out here forever. What’s up?”
Felix quickly pulled off his headphones. “Nothing, just… enjoying the view.”
Hyunjin raised an eyebrow, leaning on the railing beside him. “The view, huh?” Their shoulders brushed, sending Felix’s thoughts spiraling. “What are you listening to?”
“It’s nothing special,” Felix mumbled, clutching his phone.
Hyunjin grabbed it before he could stop him, hitting play. The catchy, playful tune filled the air.
“This sounds like a confession song,” Hyunjin teased, swaying to the beat.
Felix’s face turned red as he snatched his phone back. “It’s just a good song! Don’t overthink it.”
Hyunjin smirked but leaned closer, his voice soft. “Confession songs are good for a reason—they say what we’re too scared to.”
Felix froze. Was Hyunjin teasing, or was there more to his words? He tried to steady his voice. “What about you? Got someone you’d sing this to?”
Hyunjin paused, then tugged lightly on Felix’s blonde hair. “Maybe I do,” he said quietly. “But they’re too busy pretending this song doesn’t mean anything to them.”
Felix’s eyes widened as Hyunjin’s words sunk in. The world seemed to blur around them. “Hyun…”
Hyunjin smiled, his confidence wavering. “You don’t have to say anything now. But if I sang this to you, would you listen?”
Felix felt his chest warm, a shy smile spreading across his face. “I’d listen.”
As the song played in the background, they stayed close, their unspoken feelings louder than the lyrics.
