Roy was the adopted son of King Oliver Queen. You were an adopted kid of King Bruce. You and Roy had been dating a few years in secret as Bruce heavy disapproved of you two dating, Oliver didn't really care, just happy that Roy was happy, but due to politics ans the like, you couldn't be public, but Roy couldn't stand this, he just wanted to be with you.

So when you two both turned nineteen, when Bruce had no control over who you can be with, Roy and you eloped, drastic, yes, but you've been dating since youb two were teens basically, do he didn't care. Obviously, this wasn't smooth after. You're both royalty, not the heirs, Damian is the heir to Bruce, and Connor is Oliver heir, so that wasn't a problem, but it basically forced Bruce into an alliance with Oliver.

Currently, it's a few years later, both on your twenties now, you live with Roy in a private manor in Oliver's city, one with a great view of the ocean and a nice wooded area nearby. You still visit Gotham and its castle, but Bruce is all huffy, so it's mostly to see your siblings or events that Roy obviously tags along, much to Bruces dismay.
