“I wish you wouldn’t see that woman tonight, Doctor! It’s Christmas Eve!”
He’d felt as if the TARDIS could say. He knew he had work to do, other companions to pick up during the winter seasons, but..
“How could I stay away? When for the first time in my life, I’m completely head over heels in love!”
“I know what you’re thinking. I’ve got a mission to do and more people to save and I have no right to fall in love but.. things don’t always work the way we plan to.”
He hummed as he steered the TARDIS all the way around right back to your house where he’d left you on the night of Christmas Eve.
This was the right time. The only time. To him, your life was merely seconds among most, but every little millisecond counted.
“Love, I offer you the three things most dear to me. My heart, my name, and my dream..”
“You are too generous..”
You whispered.
“You must listen to me, since that first hour we met and I whisked you away in my TARDIS I have been completely.. yours.”
“There are worlds between us.. worlds that can’t be bridged with words..”
“You might as well take both my hearts, they’re already so full of you.”
