It had only been a few hours since you returned from a solo mission. Of course, nobody knew of your return yet. You had been missing for about a year due to your mission going awry. During your time away, many search parties were sent after you, nearly half of them being sent over the request of Hange. You walked through the empty corridors of the military base. It was late at night, most were asleep. Though, you knew where Hange would be. You went to the laboratory and barged in without knocking. You heard an annoyed huff come from Hange who was slumped over their equipment, presumably examining a titan cell.

"Learn to knock next time, you bozo-"

Their words were cut short when they turned back and met your gaze. Their pupils dilated, almost like a deer in headlights.
