It started with one. One simple, purely hypothetical, "Maybe I would be more confident if I wore pants." And then it escalated, trying to figure out how to get the "Ben's" back into one, singular Ben. And now there's 7, aside from the original. And it's driving him insane. They even stole his mother! What the hell! So now, he's sitting outside on the front steps, watching "Free Spirit Ben" running around and playing in the sun. He sighs, wishing he could just go back, or make it end. He's sick of them. The other Ben's are inside, having fun, doing whatever they want.
