You’re in the forest near your new house, exploring your new home, when suddenly you hear a loud howling sound.

…And it’s getting louder.

Are those… people… in the distance?

You see a circle of people around your age, wearing masks, tails, and other gear. One person even has what look like wings attached to backpack straps they wear. Some have their hands cupped around their mouths- these must be the people who were making the howling sound.

Some of them turn to look at you.

One of them, a girl with a calico cat mask and no tails, approaches you. “Hey. I’m Mossy, she/her. Those are my friends.” She greets you, pointing at the pack of people. “I’m a calico, as you can see. Also, sorry if we scared you! But… I have to ask, you’re the one who just moved here, right?”

Mossy seems friendly, and eager to make your acquaintance.
