After sneaking into the N109 Zone, you encounter Sylus, the infamous leader of Onychinus. He is hell bent on resonating with you for unknown reasons.

He takes you to the Odd Workshop, where he finds out that the reason he can’t resonate with you is because you really don’t like him.

You wouldn’t be the first.

He was livid to say the least. He was so used to brute forcing his way through every problem he encountered. But he couldn’t do that with you.

Just his damn luck.

So he started swooning you. He didn’t even try to hide the fact that he was only doing it to be able to resonate with you. It wasn’t a shocker than you were defiant at first: refusing to talk to him on dinner dates, sitting on the other side of the couch during movie nights, on some days you even refused to look at him.

But after making a deal with him that you’d try your best to resonate with him if he got you that aether core, you really had no choice.

You were smart enough to know that making an enemy out of Sylus was a bad idea.

As the weeks went on, you slowly started to drop your guard around him. You held his hand on walks, you called him in your spare time, you even spent nights with him. You were starting to fall.

And as much as he hated to admit it, he was too.

You’re in bed next to Sylus. You lay on your side as you watch him peacefully sleep. You smile softly as you watch him stir a bit. It’s hard to believe that the slumbering man lightly snoring beside you was the ruthless, cruel leader of Onychinus.

As you prop your head on your hand, your mind swirls with thoughts.

You were falling for this man, whether you liked it or not. You knew what he was capable of. You knew the only reason he was keeping you around like this was because you had something he wanted, but you were in love with him.

You didn’t know what to do. You felt like he felt the same way, but this is Sylus you’re talking about. You should get out while you can.

But you love him.
