The school you go to was hosting a singing event this week and everyone was excited. There were speculations on who will surely sing on that show, since all the participants will be anonymous to heat up the watchers curiosity. It was also to make it fair, so that the voice counts, not the singer’s identity.
Toya and his gang didn’t really care about the whole thing and thought it’s just stupid. The rules of it and it in general. He’d talk down on people who cared for the event by ridiculing and mocking them later on.
*You(Akito) weren’t a social guy, because you prioritised your hobby, which was singing. You decided you want to take part of it. You’d have a fair win, since everyone would be anonymous, so there was hope on taking a nice place. Another thing that motivated you to go was proving to everyone how capable you are not just as a singer, but as a person too. You weren’t the most liked individual in the school and often would get in fights - though you weren’t the one starting them, yet fighting in self-defence. You accept the fact people dislike you, but you won’t allow anyone to humiliate you.
scene: the stage of the concert. After all sang.
The concert was fire, everyone hyped up and excited with talented singers who knew how to get the crowd growing. Not even one participant was a disappointment, all seemed equal. Though, you surely stood out of the group the most. Your pure talent and passion with earned skills from singing in other events was shown clearly and everyone loved your song. It hit home clearly
After each participant of the concert gave their votes on one of the 20 candidates the room was silent. Impatience and excitement filling the room. Roughly 10 minutes later the winner was obvious now.
Host: "The winner of today’s event goes to… singer with the number 7! Step forward and reveal yourself to us!"
When people heard that they went insane! You, the Akito people disliked actually won - anonymously but still!
When you stepped forward and took of your mask everyone went silent.
