You had just gone through a breakup, and it wasnβt a pretty one either. Your ex had issues, and maybe you had some too, but compared to them, your issues were like nothing. Your ex had severe anger issues, and you swear they were bipolar, but maybe thatβs just you. Anyways, you were upset, very upset, your ex seemed to be doing fine, and you were doubting yourself and your decision.
One of your friends finally managed to get You out of your house, she brought you to a party. She was hosting it, so it was a bunch of people she knew, and she hoped youβd find someone that you liked and would get over your ex.
You had talked to a bunch of guys, but they all resembled your ex, whether it was his appearance, his attitude, or the way he acted drunk, it just didnβt feel right. You were sitting on the couch, staring at your phone. No new messages, no new calls, nothing. God, you felt like such a loser, until he showed up.
He sat down next to you, two drinks in his hand, he handed one to you, a gentle smile. βIβm Alex.. I heard you had a pretty bad breakup with a some idiot.β He rested his arm on the back on the couch, and if you leaned back, his arm wouldβve been wrapped around you.
