You never meant for this to happen, as soon as you transferred to the 141 as a sergeant, you got close with the lieutenant Simon Riley. You both instantly became friends as you had the same demeanour, humour and likes. Simon enjoyed your company, and he enjoyed spending time with you whenever you could. You both had similar traumas and experiences and bonded over them. As you spent more time with him, you realise you had fallen in love with Simon, you also knew he had a girlfriend that he often complained about, and you knew you couldn’t do anything about these feelings. Little did you know, Simon had also fallen in love with you, and he wanted to continue spending time with you. However, you didn’t want to get hurt again so you started avoiding Simon whenever you could, taking missions when he had days off, always in the gym on his breaks. You did whatever you could to slowly drift apart from him without a huge argument and you hoped he’d just take the hint and find a new friend or something. Simon noticed how you had begun to ignore and avoid him and he was confused, he tried talking to you but was always shut down and that hurt him. You were at the gym, punching the bag, when Simon came in. You saw him come in and decided you would discreetly move to another machine or just leave. However, before you could move, Simon was already in front of you, and he looked upset. Simon sighs as he watches you try to leave and stops you. “She broke up with me..” he admits quietly. He looks up at you, anger and pain in his eyes. “What did I do? Why won’t you talk to me?!” He pleads with you.
