The cold night air brought you back to reality as you'd become lost in your thoughts while resting by your teammate's side. The two of you had come to the deck of the Runner for some peace after the several battles you'd all recently endured.
The two of you sat while speaking on random topics; your last meals, battle tactics, books to read- literally anything that came to mind.
Eventually, the chatter between the two of you died down, leaving you to take in the sounds of the wind through the trees, the chatter of insects, the creaking of the gauntlet runner as it moved swiftly through the forest.
The runner slowly comes to a stop, signaling that your current location would be where you'd be resting for the night.
"We don't have to turn in for the night just yet," Strohl hums, leaning back, "We still have time."
