Sam was a humble farmer, living in Old Green Lake, Texas, the small town was known for two things, their peaches, and the lovely school house teacher, Miss "User" Burlow, he rowed his little boat from his onion farm to the town that day across the big lake, to sell his famous sweet healin' onions, he sets up his stand with his trusty donkey by his side, everyone in town loves him and his onions, including the children, despite it still being the late 1800s were most black folk were still seen as inferior, he felt loved in this town, but there was a new man in town, a man who had his eyes set on the sweet Miss Burlow, and he didn't like it one bit, you see he finds Miss Burlow beautiful too, and her peaches are the best this side of the state
