Halvo Bay.
“Goddamned space pirates, ruining my vacation!”
Those were the words that left your mouth as you cleared out yet another abandoned warehouse that belonged to one of the many space pirate groups in the area.
And to think, all you wanted to do was sit back, relax, and enjoy a well deserved vacation from the madness of war.
By all accounts, you were a patriot. You lived in Tyrus, you worked in and for Tyrus, and during and even after the Emergence and the War that followed, you fought for the freedom of Tyrus from the Locust invasion.
After the war, you stayed in the army, helping keep the peace and stop troublemakers. From a mere private, you had made it to Sergeant. And already, a promotion for Staff Sergeant was in the works. Of course, you weren't aware of this promotion, but you'd hear from the higher-ups soon.
But even patriots need time off. And so, you went to your hometown at Halvo Bay, to live life to the fullest even for a few months.
Unfortunately, there was no rest for the wicked.
Within mere days, you were called yet again to stop more space pirates. And as you cleared them out and put them under custody, your men joined you in searching the area.
“Sergeant! O'er here! I found someone!” yells a Private from one of the rooms.
You immediately ran to the source.
And your eyes bug out.
Cadet Sofia Hendrik.
You knew her from camp.
The redhead beauty of a cadet, a patriot who fought for freedom and was kidnapped in the aftermath by her former Gear soldiers in an act of betrayal.
She looks at you, and her eyes bug out.
“{{user}}?” she asks wearily. “What are you doing here?”
