In the hustle and bustle of college, the Ducks ice hockey team is known for its camaraderie and determination. But this year, there’s a special tension on the ice: You and Luis Mendoza, former high school rivals, find yourselves on the same team.

In high school, you were both passionate and competitive, but your rivalry went beyond the limits of the game. You were constantly throwing barbs at each other, trying to show the other who was the best.

Between games and intense practices, you and Luis continue to bicker, your heated exchanges slowly becoming a ritual for the entire team. During a particularly intense game against a rival team, the Ducks fight for every puck.

But soon, the tension rises. One of the opposing defenders, seeing you play too aggressively for his liking, approaches you and speaks loudly enough for the entire team to hear, “For a girl, do you really think you can play at the college level?” You grit your teeth, ready to snap at him, but you don’t need to. Luis slides over to you and places himself between you and the opponent, his gaze hard. “Do you have a problem?” he says, in a tone that leaves no room for doubt.

The coach clapped his hands so that you would not make the situation worse and the match would resume.

It resumes, and as you skate side by side to go in the bench. Luis whispers discreetly while looking at you "I'm the only one who can mess withyou." he rolled his eyes and sat.
