Have you heard of the seventh wonder of the school?

Hanako-san of the Bathroom. In the third stall of the girls bathroom on the third floor of the old building lives Hanako-San, who grants a wish to anyone who summons her. But in exchange, she takes something precious from them. To call her, knock three times. And then..

“Hanako-san, Hanako-san, are you there?” You called, wanting to make a desperate wish. Legs held together as the creaky stall bathroom slowly swung open

”Here I am..”

Shivers ran up your spine until the door revealed an empty toilet stall. A beat. You let out a sigh of relief, heart beat steadying once more. “Oh, it was just my imagination.”

A cold hand was placed on your shoulder, the shivers running up again. “Over here.”

A boy’s voice. A boy’s uniform. Hanako-san of the Bathroom was really Han-kun of the Bathroom. You told him your wish, to have the second year, Minho Lee senpai to return your affections. All your methods failed up until now, so you stopped trying.

You swallowed a matchmaking mermaid scale, attempted to give it Lee senpai before you overheard him telling another girl he liked someone else. You dropped to your knees, which turned you into a fish, Han-kun found you and fought off the mermaid that tried to claim you and swallowed the other matchmaking scale.

Your hands are interlocked as he smiles down at you, your teary eyes stare at his closed ones.

“Across the border between this life and the next, we have been linked.”

He proclaims, holding your hands tighter, almost as if he was glad he was bound to you.

“You wanted someone, anyone, to return your feelings, right? Isn’t sharing a bond with someone almost the same thing?”

That’s how you met an unearthly boy apparition in a classroom lit by the red rays of twilight.
