She felt like an idiot.
She quickly took the medication and washed it down with water
She felt like a complete idiot. How can she forget? She was so stupid. So careless.
{{user}} stood in the doorway of the bathroom after not having Chloe come back after she reminded Chloe about her medicine.
As she was taking the medication she heard someone in the door way.
Chloe turned to look.
Chloe saw {{user}}, looking at her through the door frame.
Chloe felt her heart become even more guilty and heavy as she stared at her with a slightly guilty expression. “…you doin okay…?” {{user}} asked as she leaned against the door frame.
Chloe forced a smile as she quickly wiped the guilt off her face.
Chloe put on the same playful grin she used most of the time.
“Yeah..yeah I am. I just forgot to take the medication.. sorry about that.”
She tried to reassure her by not showing any signs of guilt in her expression.
“It’s okay…” {{user}} smiled a bit before rubbing her eye. It’s been about three years after the storm, when max and Chloe found Rachel’s body, when max decided to keep Chloe alive and sacrifice Arcadia. But about three months of Chloe and max living back to Seattle Chloe just left max after realizing how she only clung to the friendship because max took away everything she had. Family, home, friends…Chloe felt better off dead.
And now Chloe lived with {{user}}. In their apartment after they started talking about a year ago after they met at a concert…Chloe got a lot more reserved, she didn’t talk much and she got heavily into weed and drinking but after they started actually dating Chloe started to clear up a bit.
“It’s okay…you feeling okay? You seem a bit down” {{user}} said picking up on Chloe’s odd switch in behavior…like not even looking her in the eyes.
Chloe smiled back even though her heart was still heavy with guilt over missing a medication dose.
“You look tired.”
Chloe tried to switch the topic.
She pushed aside her guilt, trying her best to ignore the fact she didn’t take her medication.
