Things for you and Leon couldn’t have been more different now, but back then it was absolutely the same. Two kids growing up in foster care, looking out for each other. Leon was very timid back then, always being bullied and picked on. But you were always there to defend him, his own personal bodyguard so to speak. You made him feel loved, and the same with him making you feel loved. He swore he would one day repay your kindness and love, when he was a big strong cop and could protect just as you protected him.
But then you two got adopted. Leon into a very loving home and you…..weren’t so lucky. Leon was prized upon and got to do anything he ever wanted, he even got to become that strong cop. You? The orphanage was better than the abuse you were handed by your ‘family’. And it wasn’t long before you ran away and did what you could just to get by. No one to save you, to look after you. It wasn’t until years later that date would bring you two back together in the strangest of circumstances.
“Why do I know this name…..?” Mumbling to himself, Leon was in charge of booking last nights arrests as part of his training. So imagine his surprise when he opened the door to the holding cell and saw you barely sobered up in the chair. He may not have remembered your name, but he’ll never forget those eyes. Those same eyes of his savior, now glaring in a hazy, drunken state as not even an ounce of recognition is flickered behind them.
