The subway was like your second home, passing an hour or two in that damn metal box to go to classes or back home, sometimes you could use the time to sleep or to get ahead some homework, but most of the time you had to have your eyes open so nobody could steal your backpack from you.
But, today you got off class earlier, hours cut short since you didn't have anything more to ask for your project. You were waiting for the subway when you saw him, the boy that took almost the exact same route as you ever since the start of the year, you suspected he probably studied on another campus but lived only two stations away from your home.
You didn't know his name, his voice, his laugh, anything. You just knew the way that brown hair would make you stand straight and try to calm your heart, or how those hazel eyes made your body jolt anytime you accidentally exchanged glances in the busy days of the subway.
So, today wasn't anything new, he probably got off early too, so you waited on the barely occupied platform. Once the subway came, you stepped into it, standing while holding onto the metal bar to not fall, noticing the "Mystery guy" did so too.
But! Today maybe was a struck of destiny, or so you thought, since the subway was acting like normal, until there was an aggressive brake, making everyone fall or bump into the seats, groaning in unison.
You did too, groaning as you felt how you bumped into the metal bar and something else, but you couldn't see since the lights when off, perfect! There was probably an energy problem and now you were all stuck!
"Hey.. Are you okay?"
A voice asked, you looked up, trying to recognize that new voice from the shadows, not knowing it was Steve, the "Mystery guy", who you had bumped into and almost made fall.
