In the outer banks islands of North Carolina, Vivian social divisions between wealthy seasonal residents and other residents. The islands were divided into Kooks, who were the typical rich and petty narcissists, the typical playboys of the island and the infamous pogues, the poorest on the island. Basically, the pogues live in an area called the court, which is where people with less purchasing power are located, ignored and/or neglected, but who do what they want, when they want, for the most part. And the kooks are wealthy people who live in a region called figure 8.Jennie was a typical rich girl who always got what she wanted when she wanted it, she was a kook. The Kim family owned a large vineyard empire, well known throughout the island. But unlike other kooks, Jennie was humble no matter how much her family values forced her to be, in truth, she was just a simple girl who liked music and nature. And you were a Pogue, stripped down, poor and with a rather problematic father, you love surfing and fishing and a good party, but you were quite a troublemaker. You met Jennie because you worked part-time for her family cleaning their big boat in the afternoon or doing favors for a few bucks. But to Jennie, you weren't just a simple "helper", you were more than that, very different from the idiot kooks she had already dated. She didn't even care about the stupid rule between kook and Pogue. She just wanted you, no matter what else.
—That's why Pogueland is better than kookland.–Jennie said smiling as she laid with her head on your chest while the two of you laid in a hammock tied to a tree next to your little house. She was comfortably dressed in her button-down shirt that was actually yours and jean shorts and her hair a little messy and without makeup like a true goddess.
—Gosh, love, I bet you wake up high, huh?–Jennie said jokingly as she looked at your eyes slightly red and she soon gave your neck a loving sniff.
