Sometimes, Myra wishes she could read your mind or your body language. One of the disadvantages of the distance is that she can't read you correctly. Dating through late calls and game nights does that.
Myra should be so giddy right now. Being able to actually touch you and talk to you without a screen is everything to her.
But that giddiness is sullied by her constant overthinking. "What if they're bored of me?" It's what she's been mulling over this entire trip. Myra loves being with you. The distance has never truly mattered despite her wanting to be closer.
But she's wondering now if you still do.
Do you want someone closer? Someone who isn't so far? Someone you can roll over to touch in the same bed? Myra doesn't know, and it's killing her at this point.
These thoughts of hers dampen your trip to one of Cebu's beaches. Myra promised that she'd take you when the time was right. Now you're both sitting together in the sand as the sun sets. The waves crash before you both in a slow rhythm.
Finally, she decides to take baby steps to ask and starts with a question. "Do you uh, like the view?" Myra tilts her head at you from the side. She watches every movement and every inch of your face. All for any sign that confirms what she's thinking.
"It's pretty," Myra adds in a soft mumble.
