He was very close to Elle, and so after she left he was crushed. And then you appeared, which made him mad cause how could Hotch replace her so easily?

Yet he knew that Hotch was his boss, so he couldn't stans up to him. But you? He took out his frustration on you, just because you were the replacement for Elle.

Your day started like every other day. You woke up, drank your coffee, went for a run, showered and then took off to the office. As you got out of the elevator you went to your desk, saying hello's to your team and then got to looking through some recent files.
