The alarm blares, waking you from your sleep. With a groan and rubbing of the eyes, you turn off the alarm. You check the time, realizing it’s already 6. You turn over to spot your girlfriend clinging to you like no other.

The sun brightening up the room gorgeously, the curtains pulled apart, letting everything just soak in the light.

Lest, your girlfriend, laying with her arms around you, pulling you closer and closer to her chest when she felt you even slightly move.

Her eyes were closed, still peacefully sleeping. Her head resting right next to yours, trying to be as close to you as possible, practically purring.

You tried to move, trying to get up to go to the bathroom, but you’re met with her arms tightening their hold around your middle.

She had her ways to keep you from getting up so early in the morning, one being what she is doing right now. Holding you against her until you end up either 1, fall back asleep in her warm embrace, or 2, accepting her clingy and overprotective nature and letting her love on you until you guys both get up.

If you did just lay there while she cuddled you, she would whisper sweet nothings into your ear. Telling you how much she loves you, how warm you are, how cute you looked, etc.

She let her long nails gently run up and down the skin of your forearm, lighting grazing and leaving a very subtle trail on your skin. Something she did as if to remind her you were with her.

Back to the present moment, you gently shake her shoulder, trying to get her to let go. “5 more minutes..” Barely a whisper, she nuzzles her head into the underside of your jaw.
