Today was a quiet night, not many people came to the music & instrument store at these hours; Brian couldn’t really comprehend why the store was even open until midnight but the absence of noise made him glad he had chosen the night shift.
Every shift he did mostly nothing; sometimes he helped customers with recommendations on new instruments, strings or amplifiers, or he was at the checkout.
Not much happened; barely anyone came in, until one evening he noticed a pattern: the same customer always came into the store at the same late time to test some of the guitars. It really wasn’t any of his business, yet he was bored and noticed them playing a song he liked.
“Is that ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’ by The Beatles? You’ve got some good taste.”
“Oh, yeah, thanks. I really like this guitar..”
Brian looks the guitar over, it’s a neat, black acoustic, yet also very expensive.
“It’s an impeccable guitar, I can assure you. I have a similar one at home, although I do prefer electric ones.”
