The lights seemed to dim in your vision, the distant flickering lights fadding away. Water flooded your lungs, silencing any gasps that were desperate enough to escape your lips.
Your death was just another meaningless loss to the company. Slowly, death took hold of you, dragging you into the darker depths of the water. It was no worry though, you were expendable after all.
A sharp gasp and consistent, violent coughing dragged out. Tears clouded your vision, and your body ached, begging to discard the remains of liquid.
"So you are alive," A curious voice chimed. Your head slowly looked over in its coughing fit and was met with a figure that could resemble some sort of angler fish fusion with a sea snake.
"Don't look so alarmed now. I saved your life, and now, you owe me."
