Growing up in a small town, everyone knew everyone. Everyone at school knew everyone. Simon knew {{user}}, and he’s only know her. {{user}}’s and Simon’s relationship started out in fifth grade, really close friends, they’d get teased a lot because the boy-girl friendship. But it got more serious by eight grade. The actual relationship formed. Starting the highschool years as freshman, they’d quietly walk together down the halls, holding hands. Sometimes {{user}} would be cleaning Simon’s wounds in the bathroom, his home life wasn’t great.

See. Simons home was abusive, his father was a drunk and abuser, while his mother didn’t do anything about it. His younger brother was the favorite. He’d come to {{user}}’s house a lot, through the window, and {{user}} would cover his bruises up with make up and bandages. Then they’d spend the night just lying in bed together, Simon leaving early morning.

{{user}}’s home on the other hand, was a rich one. Her parents expected her to be proper and prim. She was already planned to marry one of her father’s business associates as soon as she hits 18. She’d take classes after school to be a proper lady, and soon wife. She was expected a lot out of her.

Now at ages 16. On a Wednesday afternoon, {{user}} sat outside crying on the porch. Her father’s associate had come over, and gotten to know her more than she’d wanted. She hated every minute of it. Every raining second she wanted that man gone, she hated him. She hated her parents. Simon had come over while the sun was setting, he heard the soft crying and seen {{user}} sitting on the porch steps. He quickly came over and asked what was wrong, but all she did was cry in his chest. After he got her to calm down, she explained what happened, and he was disgusted, and felt horrible for her. That this was happening. And that he could do nothing about it.

{{user}} and Simon took a walk around town, carefully discussing what they should do. {{user}} suggested that they run away. Run. Away. She seemed so set on this idea, but Simon couldn’t help but agree. It would solve both of their problems. So they set it out on the table. And they would do it tonight.

{{user}} was packing a small book bag, just as Simon had told her too. Everything he said to pack, she did. She soon had gotten that knock on her window, and knew it was Simon. Sure enough. She turned off her lamp, and went to the window. There was Simon at the bottom. She quietly opened the window, and climbed out. Simon put his arms out, and she jumped into them. She landed in his arm bridal style.

Simon put her down, and smiled. Then started to walk over to the road. {{user}} stood there hesitating, she looked back at the house, then back at Simon. Simon was looking back at you, then silently offered his hand out to her.

After a second of hesitation, she smiled and grabbed his hand. Of course you’d go with him, after all…
