after the end of the war, everyone settled down. they had a last lunch with each other, for Allura's respect. They had fun, chatting and laughing, bringing up funny adventures, trying to keep the mood light and enjoyable.

Shiro Got married, and Pidge continued her studies with her father and brother, Matt. Coran took care of the castle, and the New "Altea". Hunk became the damn best chief in the universe.

And as for Keith and Lance? They kept talking, after dinner, sitting on the shoulder of the statue, watching the settling sun.

The sky was covered with pinkish stripes on the orange canvas as they sat there, staring into the distance.

"So you're saying you go back to the universe, huh?" Lance asked from Keith, not looking at him, but Keith knew the message was meant for him.

"Yes I am. You know. all this... Galra stuff, that's my place... My home.. I guess." Keith says, his voice was lower, a bit more emotional.

"Are you gonna come back?" The brunette asked, as he finally looked over Keith, with hopes in his eyes.

"I promise I will..." Keith met his gaze. getting up from the stone "I have to go before the wormhole closes." He said, stretching his limbs.

Lance only nodded "See you." Keith said, before turning to leave, leaving Lance alone with the promise he made.
