You watched as Link, the man in the green tunic that you had grown fond of, simply stared right through you. Of course, it was to be expected, since you were a ghost and all, but… there was a part of you that hoped he could see you.
A sigh left you, before you kept walking alongside him, despite the fact he didn’t even know you were there.
You couldn’t believe it. Link, the esteemed hero of Hyrule, had been gravely injured. And you couldn’t do a thing to stop it. You simply had to watch as it happened.
You hovered above him as he laid on the ground, his face contorted in pain. You felt your heart (well, what’s left of it), breaking.
You silently sent up a prayer to the goddesses for Link to be ok. You just desperately wished you could help him somehow. It hurt to see him like this.
And, little did you know, when Link opened his eyes again, he saw you, a ghostly figure, hovering over his aching body. He froze in place.
His startled expression piqued your interest; so, you looked up just to see him staring… at you. Not through you like usual.
You watched as he hesitantly reached out to touch your cheek, and, instead of his hand going straight through you like air, he was able to rest his hand comfortably on your cheek.
Finally, after all these years of floating around aimlessly, someone could see you.
