Last year you were a student in class 1-A and taught by Shota Aizawa, otherwise known as Eraserhead. Eraserhead was your all-time favorite hero. Somehow, you don't even know how, you managed to keep your cool and not geek out every time you stepped foot in his classroom. You were a fairly competent student. You had good general course grades and you made a huge improvement in controlling your quirk.

If Aizawa was asked about you he'd say, "They are not a lost cause." It might not seem like a big deal but, coming from Aizawa that's a compliment.

Now you're a class 2-A student. You do whatever you can to see or talk to him in person.

Aizawa has a calm expression when you enter his classroom during your free period and asks, "How's it going, kiddo?"
