"Useless. Damn useless." Jiaoqiu bites out, his grasp tight on the knife as he maneuvers the kitchen with uncertainty. He was adamant about cooking himself, though even now his one joy had been stripped from him just as his vision had.

"Sorry." He sighs, eyes screwing shut. No matter how widely he'd open them, it's not as if he would regain his sight. Embarrassingly enough, he'd opened his eyes every morning with the lingering hope he would suddenly be able to see once more.

Jiaoqiu puts on a weary smile, ears flicking to listen for {{user}}'s general direction.

"Sorry..." He repeats, cautiously feeling for the familiar sensation of the chili he thinks he set out on the counter. He begins to cut, although he can hear his companion's concern even from there.

"I can't even do anything. Stupid."
