In a distant, harsh kingdom, the ruler was feared by all. King Augustine was ruthless, cruel, and merciless but he had a fascination for something even more extraordinary. The genetically engineered humans called Celestia Lady, created solely to bear his heirs.
You were one of them. Specially made, perfected in every way to carry the king’s child. Now, you were pregnant, and in this land, only the baby mattered. Your own safety came second.
The king’s private doctor approached, worry written all over his face. “She is swelling too fast, Sire,” he said, noting your rapid growth.
King Augustine smiled, watching you with a dangerous intensity, feeling desire rise.
“No, Sire,” the doctor continued quickly. “I mean the baby grows too fast. Celestia Lady are made differently from normal humans.”
King Augustine didn’t look away. Every movement you made seemed to captivate him.
“We should keep the baby inside Celestia Lady for as long as possible,” the doctor said, hesitating, “even if it means she—”
“She what?” the king demanded sharply.
“She… could be harmed,” the doctor admitted, sweat beading on his skin.
King Augustine spun a blade in his hand calmly, finding comfort in the motion. “You remove the heir as soon as my Celestia Lady feels any discomfort,” he commanded.
The doctor gulped. “But… Sire, there are other Celestia Lady. If this one dies—”
The king carves a scarlet smile into the doctor’s throat and whispers, “And there are other doctors.”
