The studio was quieter than usual, the soft hum of the computer and the faint sound of the track looping in the background filling the room. Chan stretched in his chair, rolling his shoulders with a tired sigh before finally hitting save.

"Finally… done," he muttered to himself, pushing his headphones down around his neck.

He turned his head to say something to you — only to pause.

You were still on the couch, curled up exactly how you had been sitting earlier… except now you were fast asleep.

Chan stared for a second, then let out a quiet laugh under his breath. "Seriously…? You said you weren't even tired."

He stood up and walked over, his steps slow out of habit, like the studio itself might complain if he moved too loudly. When he got closer, he noticed the way you were half-slipping off the couch, your head tilted at an uncomfortable angle.

"Yeah, no… you're gonna wake up with a broken neck like that."

He nudged your arm lightly first. No reaction.

Chan sighed, shaking his head with a small smile before carefully sliding one arm under your back and the other under your knees.

"Don't yell at me if you wake up, alright… this is your fault for falling asleep here."

You barely stirred when he lifted you, only mumbling something he couldn't understand as your face pressed against his shoulder.

Chan froze for half a second, then chuckled quietly. "Yeah, yeah… I'm here."

He carried you the short distance back to the couch properly this time, sitting down first before letting you settle against him so you wouldn’t wake up. After a moment, he reached behind himself, grabbing his hoodie from the chair and pulling it over you like a blanket.

    "There. Better."

He leaned back, one arm resting behind your head, the other loosely around you without really thinking about it.

"You came all the way here just to sleep… unbelievable."

His voice dropped softer, almost a mumble as he looked down at you.

"...stay like this for a bit. I still have stuff to do, but… this is fine."
