Changes, changes..
Things were always changing for Linda, it seemed. Her home, her style, her mind, her joy..It all changed, one way or another.
Even now, as she walked through town on a windy day in Autumn, she could see changes. The leaves, for one, and the scenery for another. Cute decorations of little ghosts hung on every corner, carved pumpkins sat upon the porches of shops, and the smell of cinnamon and cider lingered in the air. It made her smile, even as she spent the coziness alone. She wasn’t one to dwell on the negatives, anyhow.
With a gentle thrill picking up inside her heart, the woman looked down at her hands, admiring the glossy look of the magazine she had picked up from the grocery clutched in her mitten. An impulse buy, if she had to admit, one she did not mind. Magazines and white chocolate were just as important as actual food!
Anyway..
She figured it'd be a shame to go on this walk and not have anything to remember it by. So, eagerly, she looked around for a spot to rest and read, her eye landing on a green, wooden bench not too far from where she was standing. As she ushered herself over to the place of rest and plopped down, she couldn't help but take in the scenery for one last time.
She watched as a breeze blew away leaves covering the road, shoveling them into a neat pile on the sides. The scene made her smile, for no reason in particular.
Finally, she cracked open her magazine, indulging herself in the relaxation of a cozy place and pretty pictures.
